Scripture Filter
This site is a sandbox (which resets every hour) which demonstrates the the capabilities of the new ESV enhanced Scripture Filter Module. This module builds on the Scripture Filter Module adding on some of the facilities enabled by the ESV API. This means that it is now possible to embed the text directly in the site without having to go to an external site.
You have 3 choices when dealing with text from the ESV Bible:
- Direct Link to ESV website
- Text displayed in a tooltip
- Text displayed in a collapsible div
These last two options only work for the ESV text, for all other translations you can only link to the text on another site.
There are many settings for theming both the tooltip and the collapsible div within the settings page.
Other improvements include changes to the Regex to allow references like:
Default Translation - Set within the settings page
Preset Translations - Set by suffixing the passage with the translation e.g. NIV, ESV, LXX
I have also added a couple of new translations including the NRSV, and the Greek Septuagint (with an optionally embedded flash player).
The ESV API also allows you to embed a flash player to that you visitors can listen to the passage being read aloud without having to leave your site!
To change the settings you will need to login to the site, you can either login with your drupal.org username (i.e. username@drupal.org) and you usual password or use:
Username: guest
Password: guest
